Job Description:

As a Mortgage Broker, you will work closely with clients, assess their unique needs, and navigate the complex mortgage landscape to secure the best possible mortgage terms and rates. Seeking an independent go-getter capable of driving their own business forward. This role offers commission-based income.

Responsibilities:

    • Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their financial goals and mortgage needs.
    • Mortgage Solutions: Craft personalized mortgage solutions that align with clients’ financial objectives, whether for first-time buyers, refinancing, or real estate investment.
    • Lender Network: Utilize our extensive network of lenders, including major banks, credit unions, and alternative lenders, to secure competitive rates and terms for clients.
    • Financial Analysis: Assess clients’ creditworthiness, evaluate financial statements, and conduct risk assessments to recommend suitable mortgage options.
    • Documentation: Prepare and review mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

    • Licensing and Certification: Valid mortgage broker license in British Columbia.
    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in mortgage origination and lending (preferred). Proven track record of successful mortgage closings and client satisfaction.
    • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of mortgage products, lending regulations, and compliance (preferred). Familiarity with local real estate market trends and economic factors.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Financial Analysis: Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment. Ability to evaluate creditworthiness and financial statements.
    • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in mortgage software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Familiarity with industry-specific technology and data analytics.
    • Sales and Marketing Skills: Strong sales and marketing acumen to generate leads and referrals. Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies.
